A short list of New York locations, each walked by a production team, with the specs written down.
FilmLocations.nyc is run by the team at LUME Studios, a production house at 393 Broadway in Tribeca. We produce shoots and events in New York every week, so we know what goes wrong on a location: the freight elevator that closes at 5, the window that faces the wrong way, the building that will not take a truck.
Why this site exists
Marketplace listings run on whatever the host typed. Agencies have great libraries but no specs. We wanted something in between: fewer locations, each one walked, with the facts a crew needs written down.
How we make money
Locations pay us a referral commission when a production books through us. Productions never pay a booking fee. Some of the locations on this site are rooms in our own building at 393 Broadway, and each of those listings says so.
How we keep listings honest
- We only list a location after our team has walked it.
- Specs we have not confirmed say "confirm with us" instead of a guess.
- Photos are of the actual room.
